Gatteo Mare – Proceed north along the seafront until Cesenatico.
Cesenatico – From Piazzale della Rocca go under the flyover towards Cesena (via Cesenatico). Cross Borella, Villalta, Bagnarola, Macerone and Ponte Pietra.
Cesena – After the railway overpass, turn right at the roundabout (via Marzolino), at the traffic lights turn right into via Marconi.
After 500 m turn left into via Costa (keep to the right) at the traffic lights of Porta Santi turn left into via Vicinio da Sarsina to the end and continue in via Pacchioni. At the Pertini roundabout, turn right towards the tunnel.
At the end of the descent turn left towards Ponte Vecchio (km 17.5), at the roundabout just before the bridge turn left into via Roversano and follow the ups and downs and signs to S. Carlo.
S.Carlo – In front of the church, turn left onto the old SS71 road (now the SP138), continue towards Borello.
Borello – Exit the village and turn left onto the E45 (signs for Mercato Saraceno – Sorrivoli). Continue on the old SS, passing Gualdo (km 34) and Ponte Giorgi (km 36).
Mercato Saraceno – Turn left towards the centre and cross the square. Turn left on the bridge over the Savio River. The climb begins.
Bivio Sogliano (Barbotto) – At the top of the climb, turn left for Sogliano.
Cross Rontagnano (50.5 km) and Montegelli.
Montegelli – After the village 1 km uphill at 10%, then downhill to Sogliano.
Sogliano – cross the village and continue towards Borghi.
Borghi – Continue to Savignano.
Savignano – Cross the Via Emilia and continue towards Sala
Sala – Continue towards Gatteo Mare

Difficulty: the Barbotto, 5.5 km of climb with an average gradient of 7%. The last km is really hard, with a 15% slope and 18% stretches.
